Private riding safaris
Multi-day routes across private conservancy and ranch land, with vehicle back-up carrying luggage, water and support.

Flagship programme
Private riding safaris for advanced riders: wilderness routes, guide-led rides in wildlife country under strict conditions, mobile camps, and cinematic photography where permitted.
Every Safari Saddle journey starts with an honest conversation about your riding: hours in the saddle, fitness, recent experience and how you sit at speed. Horses, routes and pace follow from that. Nothing is confirmed until a ride leader is satisfied it is right for you and for the horse.

Under Safari Saddle
Kenya, ridden seriously.
A curated destination layer for experienced riders — private villas, conservancy lodges, ranch country and fly-camp lines, each planned around assessment, horse welfare and the conditions of the day.
The programme
Multi-day routes across private conservancy and ranch land, with vehicle back-up carrying luggage, water and support.
Only where the host land permits it, only with a qualified ride leader, and only at distances and speeds the leader judges safe. Wildlife encounters are never promised.
Short, spectacular rides at the two hours of the day the light and the temperature are on your side.
Camps moved ahead of you and set for your party alone — canvas, hot water, a fire and nothing else for miles.
Vehicles set for long lenses, a photographer or filmmaker travelling with you, and drone work only where it is formally permitted.
A parallel day for companions who do not ride: game drives, walking, spa, wellness and rest, meeting the riders for lunch.

All riding is bespoke and subject to local permissions, suitable horses, guide assessment, weather and operational confirmation. We do not claim unrestricted riding access, guaranteed wildlife encounters, or affiliation with any reserve, stable or operator.
Safety and welfare
An arena session or short hack before any wilderness ride, so the ride leader can match horse to rider in person.
Daily distance, heat and pace limits. A horse that should not work that day does not work that day.
Ride leaders hold the final decision on route, pace and whether a ride proceeds at all.
Rain, heat, ground condition and visibility can change or cancel a ride at short notice. We plan alternatives in advance.
Rider levels
Confident at all paces in open country, fit for four to six hours in the saddle, comfortable on a forward-going horse.
Secure in canter, regular recent riding, happy with a full day but not a fast wilderness traverse.
Led hacks, arena time and short rides on quiet horses, alongside a full non-riding programme.
All riding is bespoke and subject to local permissions, suitable horses, guide assessment, weather and operational confirmation. We do not claim unrestricted riding access, guaranteed wildlife encounters, or affiliation with any reserve, stable or operator.
